New Adult Contemporary RomancePhotographer Sierra Stratton views the world through a lens all her own. She has an uncanny sense about people, something that often causes her trouble. When she meets the sexy and brooding Evan Dorsey, her intuition tells her he’s suffering, and she wants to be the one to help him.
Evan isn’t open to help from anyone, however. His focus is on his Major League career and making himself as marketable as possible for his upcoming free agency. He plans to ride out the season in Atlanta and then sign with another team, away from the painful memories that haunt him.
Someone’s eager to send him on his way, too. Between anonymous threats and equipment sabotage, it’s clear he’s earned himself an enemy along the way. To him, it’s one more sign that he’s right to move on.
But Sierra threatens his conviction. Her contagious smile proves hard to resist, as does her kiss. She tempts him in ways he never anticipated, making him question his plans for the first time. If he’s not careful, she might just convince him that he’s meant for her.

I have to admit that Ms. Thomas had me at sexy and broody.
At the beginning of the story, we get a glimpse into Everly and Cole's wedding, which was super awesome. The duo make cameos throughout the story, but never taking away from the main characters, Sierra and Evan. (and if you've not read For Everly, go download or order it now, it's a great love story)
I have to say that I loved Sierra from the get go, even if sometimes I thought she was being too nice, and I could have kicked Evan's ass on her behalf. The fact that Sierra manages to stay positive and with an inspiring take on life, where the glass is always half full has made her one of my favorite female leads, right up there with Lizzie Bennett.
Evan.... *sighs* Aussie, baseball player, Mr. Sexy Muscles, at times I hated him, but not in a OMG, I hate this character way. I hated him, because he would remind me of myself a bit, especially when he was shutting down. Of course, he redeems himself, which is one of my favorite things in the book, because he doesn't need to be rescued, he just needs a helping hand which is precisely what Sierra offers him.
And when he's protective of Sierra... *swoons* I just wanted to reach in the book and hug him. *maybe bite him as well... coughs*
I also loved that Ms Thomas threw me a curve ball when it came tot he villain. I was so sure that I knew, that I was clever enough to go with the obvious answer and then.... Oh. My. Word! I never expected that. :)
The book is a lot more than a beautiful romance story, it's jam packed with baseball, and suspense.
